Frequently asked questions
Getting started
How do I sign up?
Go to frontora.app/start in your phone or computer browser. You create your login, confirm your e-mail, pick a plan, pay, then set up your business, your phone number and your AI receptionist, and make a test call.
Signing up and buying a plan happen on the website only, not in the iPhone or Android app.
Can I stop and finish setup later?
Yes. Everything you've done is saved. Sign in at frontora.app on any device and you continue at the step where you stopped.
I didn't get the e-mail with my code.
The 6-digit code can take a minute to arrive and works for 30 minutes. Check your spam folder, then tap Send a new code (you can ask for a new one once a minute).
Typed the wrong e-mail address? Tap Sign out on that screen and sign up again with the right one.
How do I test my AI receptionist?
Call your Frontora number from your cell phone, like a customer would:
- Listen for your greeting.
- Ask to book an appointment: a service, a day and a time.
- A moment after you hang up, the call shows in Calls with its recording and transcript.
If your number isn't ready yet, you can finish setup now and test later. Your test calls stay in Calls.
Phone number and call forwarding
Should I get a new number or keep my business number?
Get a new local number if you want a new line, for example for ads. Put it on your website, Google profile and signs.
Keep my business number if customers already know your number. You still get a Frontora number, and you forward your business number to it, so callers reach your AI receptionist.
How do I forward my business number to Frontora?
Dial one of these codes from your business phone. Put your 10-digit Frontora number where it says number. The setup screens show the codes with your number filled in.
Only when you don't pick up (most popular):
- Verizon:
*71number - AT&T and T-Mobile:
**61*number#(no answer),**67*number#(busy),**62*number#(phone off or no signal)
Every call:
- Verizon, AT&T and most landlines:
*72number - T-Mobile:
**21*number#
Other carriers and office phone systems: look for “call forwarding” in your carrier's app or web portal, or ask them.
How do I turn call forwarding off?
Dial the off code from your business phone. Calls then ring only your business phone again.
- Verizon, AT&T and most landlines:
*73 - T-Mobile, every call:
##21# - AT&T and T-Mobile, when you don't pick up:
##004#
Leaving Frontora? Turn forwarding off first, so no calls go to a number that no longer answers.
My Frontora number isn't ready yet, or I want a different one.
If our team is setting up your number, we e-mail it to you within one business day, with the forwarding steps if you keep your business number.
Your Frontora number is managed by our team. To change it, contact us and choose “Phone numbers and the AI receptionist”.
Your AI receptionist
How do I change what the AI receptionist says?
Owners: open Location Settings in the menu, then the AI Receptionist tab. Edit the Greeting, Personality and Instructions (for example “Never quote prices on the phone”), then tap Save changes.
Your AI receptionist picks up saved changes within a minute: the page shows “Your AI receptionist is updated” when it's done. Still hearing the old greeting? Contact us and we'll check it right away.
How do I update my hours or services?
Services: open Services in the menu and tap Add Service, or edit one in the list.
Hours: owners can change them under Location Settings → Hours. Easier: send us your new hours with the form below and we'll change them for you.
Your AI receptionist uses your hours and services when it talks to callers and books appointments.
Can calls be passed to me or my staff?
Owners: open Location Settings → Phone and enter a number under Forward calls to, for example your cell phone. Tap Save changes.
Callers who ask for a person are transferred to that phone. If you got a new Frontora number, that phone also rings first, and your AI receptionist answers when nobody picks up.
If you forward your business number to Frontora, don't enter that same business number here: the call would go round in a loop. Use a different phone.
Calls and texts
Where do I see my calls, recordings and missed calls?
Open Calls in the menu. Tap Missed to see only missed calls and voicemails. Tap a call to hear the recording and read the transcript and summary.
Text messages are under Messages, when messaging is switched on for your location (see Add-ons).
Alerts: under My Account, turn on Missed call email, and in the app Notifications on this phone → Missed calls and New text messages.
Plans and billing
What do I pay, and when?
The price shown for your plan, in US dollars, monthly or yearly. There is no setup fee and no free trial.
You pay when you sign up, before setup starts. Your plan then renews automatically every month (or every year) until you cancel.
Payment runs on Stripe's secure checkout page. We never see your card number.
Where are my invoices and receipts?
Owners: open Billing in the menu to see your Frontora invoices and payment history.
Need a receipt that isn't listed there? Contact us and choose “Billing and add-ons”; we'll e-mail it to you.
How do I change my plan, add an add-on or update my card?
On the web, at frontora.app, the account owner opens Account → Billing → Manage billing. There you can switch plans or between monthly and yearly, update the card you pay with and download invoices and receipts.
Plan changes are prorated: you get credit for the unused part of your current plan and pay the difference on your next invoice.
Before you pay, tap Change plan on the payment step.
Add-ons: owners can request one on the Add-ons page. We confirm by e-mail once it's on.
How do I cancel?
On the web, at frontora.app, the account owner opens Account → Billing → Manage billing and chooses Cancel subscription.
A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for: everything keeps working until then, and you can renew from the same page if you change your mind.
When your subscription ends, your AI receptionist stops answering. If you forward your business number to Frontora, turn forwarding off first (see “How do I turn call forwarding off?”).
Your account, team and app
How do I sign in?
Go to frontora.app and sign in with your e-mail address and password. Old frontora.ai links forward automatically.
Forgot your password? Choose Email me a login link on the sign-in page. Once you're in, set a new password under My Account.
Is there an iPhone and Android app?
Yes. Search for “Frontora: AI Receptionist” in the App Store or Google Play and sign in with your usual e-mail address and password.
The app is for people who already have an account. To sign up, choose a plan or buy an add-on, visit frontora.app in your browser.
For alerts on your phone, allow notifications when the app asks, then pick them under My Account → Notifications on this phone: missed calls, new text messages and new bookings.
How do I add team members?
Owners: open Team in the menu and tap Invite. Enter their e-mail address and name and pick a role: Owner, Co-Owner, Supervisor or Staff. They get an e-mail with a link to sign in.
To take someone's access away, remove them on the same page. It works right away.
How do I delete my account?
Signed in: My Account → Delete my account. Without signing in: frontora.app/account/delete (we e-mail you a link to confirm).
Your account is deleted after 14 days. Until then you can sign in and tap “Cancel deletion”.
If you are your business's only owner, deleting your account also closes the business account: phone answering stops. To keep the business running, add another owner first. Deleting your account doesn't cancel billing by itself: we contact you if anything is owed.
